“A new chapter, familiar biology: On September 30th, I joined Pliant Therapeutics as Chief Medical Officer. I am looking forward to working with the Pliant team who share my commitment to the patients.
The science around TGF-β has been central to my work for years, because it’s one of the key ways tumors shield themselves from the immune system.
At Pliant, I get to take on that biology from a new angle. Our lead asset, PLN-101095, targets the integrins that activate TGF-β in the tumor microenvironment, aiming to shut down that protective signal where it matters most rather than blocking it everywhere.
What excites me most is the chance to further explore the compelling science of integrin drug development and realize the potential of the oncology program.”
