“I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Quest Diagnostics and Quest Diagnostics Oncology as Medical Director of Oncology with a particular focus on Haystack MRD by Quest Diagnostics.
I come to Quest after spending nearly 8 years in the oncology real-world data space. What began as a singular desire to learn about clinical real-world data had, in the end, resulted in one of the most amazing professional and personal journeys of my career. What I did not know back then was that, over the next 8 years, I would have the opportunity to work with some of the most driven, brilliant, compassionate, and fun group of people, both within the company and in our external partnerships, and to solve some of the most challenging and difficult data problems that I have encountered to-date in my career.
More importantly, my time at COTA and more recently, Verana Health , also gave me a firsthand view of the variability that exists in real-world oncology diagnostic testing and care.
One lesson has stayed with me: the best treatments in the world are useless unless patients can access them. And today, access includes getting the right diagnostic and molecular tests at the right time.
That’s one of the things that makes this next chapter so meaningful to me. I’m excited to put my experience in AI, clinical adoption, and data to work and help advance the real-world adoption of MRD and molecular testing so that patients and their care teams are armed with the best information to make the right treatment decisions.
More importantly, having originated in the labs of Burt Vogelstein, Ken Kinzler, and Nick Papadopoulos at The Johns Hopkins University, I firmly believe that Haystack MRD is truly fit-for-purpose in oncology.
I’m grateful to the many colleagues and mentors who have shaped me over the past 8 years, and I am certain that Verana Health/ COTA will continue to succeed.
More importantly, I’m looking forward to this next chapter with the incredible team at Quest Diagnostics and Haystack to help bring state-of-the-art oncology diagnostics to those who need them most.”
