Leon Cristobal as the new Executive Director for LLS in the Greater Los Angeles Region!
While it’s exciting to share my new role at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, it’s even more exciting to welcome Leon Cristobal as the new Executive Director for LLS in the Greater Los Angeles Region! Leon, like me, was born and raised here in Los Angeles and is passionate about our community. He’s spent the past 2 decades working in the healthcare industry – most recently with Kaiser Permanente and City of Hope. Leon’s been an active volunteer with LLS for many years – he was named the 2021 Orange County/Inland Empire Man of the Year and served on the Board of Trustees. He’s a remarkable human and I can’t wait for you all to meet him.
It’s been such a privilege serving the Greater Los Angeles blood cancer community for the past six years. The passion and commitment of our many volunteers and donors inspires me every day. The stories of our survivors and those we’ve lost continue to fuel my commitment to this mission. I’ll continue to serve you, now in a different role and a national lens.
And finally a huge shout out to the remarkable team in Los Angeles – you all have taught me so much about the value of teamwork, collaboration and dreaming big together. Can’t wait to see what is in store for FY24!
