Aydah AlAwadhi, Consultant Medical Oncologist at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company – SEHA, announced on LinkedIn:
“Thrilled to announce that we have won 1st place for our oral abstract research on Novel Machine learning model utilizing artificial intelligence to predict survival in Early Onset Breast Cancer!
Thanks to everyone who supported and contributed to this project.
This research project is in collaboration with NYU.
The title of our project ‘A novel clinical risk score that can accurately predict the survival of Young Breast Cancer Patients: A UAE-based cohort study’.
This is the First study in the region/worldwide using clinical data to design a machine learning model that predicts breast cancer mortality risk in early-onset breast cancer patients. Our model can aid clinical decision-making, pending validation studies.
People often inquire about how I manage to find time for research amidst my busy clinic schedule. My response always emphasizes that while patient care remains my utmost priority, I also recognize the crucial value and impact of research on enhancing patient outcomes. Therefore, I firmly believe that advancing research is an integral part of providing comprehensive care to patients.
