“It was a wonderful and amazing experience to attend the 51st EBMT Congress in Florence, Italy, this week. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones in the field of bone marrow transplantation.
It was special to meet Dr Lawrence Faulkner my mentor and teacher at the congress.
We were also happy to share our experiences of doing BMT in the UAE at Burjeel Cancer Institute part of Burjeel Holdings through a poster presentation. We were the first center who did first pediatric BMT in the UAE.
It was truly inspiring to witness the remarkable progress in the field of bone marrow transplantation and explore the latest scientific advancements from around the world, helping us move forward in this field.
