Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: March Focus on Female Cancers and Women’s Health
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, Chief Executive Officer at Medicaid Cancer Foundation, shared on X:
“March was a transformative month as I focused on Female Cancers and Women’s Health. In LMICs, 72% of women with cancer are diagnosed late, and survival rates in Africa are abysmally low. Medicaid CF Programs, we run two programs – One Call Away and pace, which aim to bridge these gaps. Grateful to the partners who help us sustain these impactful interventions.
In this regard, I met 12 women battling cancer in Kebbi, offering moral and treatment support, as well as information on how to access existing Kebbi State Government and Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria treatment programs.”
