Yoodhvir Nagar: Another likely a practice changing outcome of STAMPEDE Trial
Yoodhvir Nagar, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Another likely a practice changing outcome of STAMPEDE Trial.
A simple low cost drug (Metformin) can possibly help millions of advanced prostate cancer patients worldwide to better cope with the hormonal therapy. It was indeed proud feeling to be part of the STAMPEDE trial at our NHS Trust.
Looking forward to participating in recruiting patients to the STAMPEDE-2 Trial soon.”
Abhishek Pathak, Professor at Indian Army, shared this post, adding:
“Metformin added to patients receiving hormonal therapy in prostate cancer prevents the unwanted toxicities of the hormonal therapy ..
Sub group analysis from STAMPEDE trial ..
Could be practice changing.”
