“Three years ago, Emily McGovern, DO, and I had the privilege of presenting a review on the state of rural cancer care delivery at the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
Today, along with Zachary Schroeder, MD, at the NRHA Annual Rural Health Conference, we came full circle by unveiling the Rural Oncology Home Model—a patient-centered, community-grounded approach developed at Lakewood Health System.
This model isn’t just a concept; it’s a reproducible care delivery framework designed to be implemented in rural communities across the U.S., helping to close critical gaps in oncology care.
Honored to be part of this journey and excited about the path ahead for rural health innovation.”
