Vincent Rajkumar Shares Data Showing China Leads in Oncology Trial Initiations and New Cancer Drug Launches
Vincent Rajkumar, Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Chair for the Mayo Clinic, posted on X:
“China has now surpassed all other countries in number of new oncology clinical trials launched each year, AND also number of novel active substances (NAS) for cancers launched.”

“This is true! And as we look forward to a future of NIH and NCI Cancer Control cuts, I fear that our country’s influence with oncology trials and novel cmpds will drop.”
