UICC Welcomes WHO’s Adoption of Integrated Lung Health Resolution at WHA78
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) posted on LinkedIn:
“Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) is thrilled that the World Health Organization resolution on an integrated approach to lung health has been adopted at the WHA78.
Lung cancer causes more deaths globally than any other cancer. To help tackle global lung cancer rates, the Lung Cancer Collaboration, led by Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), and partners, wholeheartedly supported the WHA resolution on lung health to drive a more integrated global response.
The resolution encourages countries to adopt joined-up, people-centred approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and care for respiratory conditions, including lung cancer.
