Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“UICC is spotlighting cancer priorities at the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva through a series of high-level engagements and side events. From lung health and antimicrobial resistance to essential medicines and people-centred care, UICC is working to ensure cancer control remains a key part of the global health agenda.
Highlights include:
- A side event on integrated lung health, co-hosted with the Government of Malaysia
- A session on aligning AMR and cancer strategies, with partners across sectors
- An event with partners of the ATOM Coalition to share progress on improving access to cancer medicines over the past three years
- Contributions to the World Health Organization‘s event on balanced access to controlled medicines
Through these activities, UICC continues to bring UICC member organisations, Member States, technical experts and civil society together to advance equitable, sustainable and integrated cancer care worldwide. Read more.”
