UF Health Cancer Center has been designated a Center of Excellence by the Pheo Para Alliance
UF Health Cancer Center shared the following on LinkedIn:
“In recognition of providing the most advanced treatments for patients with rare neuroendocrine tumors, UF Health has been designated a Center of Excellence by the Pheo Para Alliance.
It’s the first center in the southeastern United States to achieve this designation, recognizing centers that provide leading-edge, high-quality, multidisciplinary care, and facilitate research on pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma
research.
‘This is a win for our patients — it means opportunities and resources for our patients to get the best possible care for this rare disease,’ said UF Health endocrinologist Hans Ghayee, D.O., who leads the UF Health team with UF Health endocrine surgeon Aditya Shirali, M.D., a UF Health Cancer Center member.
