The Institute of Cancer Research – 45 Years Since Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope
The Institute of Cancer Research posted on LinkedIn:
“On this day 45 years ago, Canadian hero Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope.
After losing his leg to osteogenic sarcoma, a rare bone cancer, he ran 3,339 miles over 143 days. His determination and dedication to raising money for Cancer Research has inspired millions to follow in his footsteps.
We’re incredibly grateful that the Terry Fox Run UK continues his legacy in support of the ICR.
Registrations are now open for this year’s events, with the flagship event kicking off on 14 September in London’s Battersea Park.
Whether you run, walk, roll, or cycle, every donation will make a big difference in supporting our vital work.
