Life of a Clinical Trials Assistant – The Institute of Cancer Research
The Institute of Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Step into the shoes of a Clinical Trials Assistant!
Meet Hannah Mann, a Clinical Trials Assistant in the Drug Development Unit at the ICR and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. She is currently completing a placement year as part of her Natural Sciences degree at Loughborough University.
“What I enjoy most is seeing first-hand the impact of early-phase trials on patient care and playing a part in translating cutting-edge research into future treatments with the potential to transform lives.”
She joined the team last year to explore her interest in oncology and clinical research and to get stuck into some hands-on experience in a real-world setting.
“It’s been one of the most inspiring and rewarding parts of my degree so far. From managing patient data to supporting trial operations and collaborating with clinical teams, no two days are ever the same.”
We’ve been delighted to have Hannah on the team, she has been an invaluable asset and wish her all the best for the rest of her course.”
