Susanna Fletcher Greer: The Kind of Work That Doesn’t Always Make Headlines, but Absolutely Should
Susanna Fletcher Greer, Chief Scientific Officer at the V Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:
“When I say ‘science saves lives,’ I mean it.
Every week, I read newly published cancer research funded by the V Foundation and I’m struck by how much brilliance, hope, and grit lives in these publications.
My job is to translate it. Not just for other scientists (although that’s important – we can use so much jargon we can’t even understand each other), but for the people who need it most: patients, caregivers, donors, policy makers.
All of us.
I highlight the kind of work that doesn’t always make headlines, but IMO, absolutely should.
Why? Because breakthroughs in the lab change treatment plans and they change lives.
If you care about science, storytelling, or the future of cancer research, I’d love to connect. And if you’re doing this work too, please tag me. Let’s make it visible.”
