Steven Artandi: SCI members find support for ecDNA formation model
Steven Artandi, Director of the Stanford Cancer Institute, shared the following on X:
“Stanford Cancer Institute members Howard Y. Chang, Paul Mischel, and others found support for a model of ecDNA formation in which double-strand break ends dissociate from their legitimate ligation partners prior to joining of illegitimate ends to form the ecDNA and excision scar.”
