Sheraz Azhar: Wrapping up Day 1 of the UKOF 2025
Sheraz Azhar, Co-Founder at ONCS Care, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Wrapping up Day 1 of the UKOF 2025.
It’s a privilege to step out of the clinic and into a space where the future of cancer care is being shaped – through science, collaboration, and innovation.
A few standout moments from today:
- Adjuvant ribociclib in early breast cancer – a new chapter in personalising therapy for high-risk patients beyond traditional endocrine strategies.
- ctDNA – the growing evidence for its role in treatment monitoring, recurrence prediction, and how it may soon reshape trial endpoints.
- Prof. Charles Swanton’s keynote – a brilliant exploration of inflammatory and mutational pathways driving lung cancer risk, particularly in the context of ageing and environmental exposure. A masterclass in translational thinking.
- Lung breakout session – deep dive into EGFR+ NSCLC, with important discussions on the roles of lisertinib and amivantamab, and the evolving sequencing strategies to manage resistance.
Looking forward to more tomorrow. Ending the day with great colleagues, even better company, and a much-needed dinner.
If you’re here too – or working on anything in breast, lung, or digital oncology – let’s connect!”
