Shaban Juma: Honored to be part of digital cancer advocacy campaign organized by Cancer Fight Tanzania
Shaban Juma, Resident in Clinical Oncology at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, posted on LinkedIn:
“Awareness is a key factor in cancer prevention. Studies show that up to 50% of cancers are preventable through early detection, lifestyle changes, and screenings.
For instance, breast cancer awareness has reduced mortality by 25–30%, while anti-tobacco campaigns have led to a 20% global decline in smoking. By spreading knowledge and encouraging healthy choices, we can save lives and reduce cancer’s impact.
I am honored to be part of digital cancer advocacy campaign organized by Cancer Fight Tanzania in collaboration with Tamsa Kairuki using the power of online platforms to raise awareness and promote cancer prevention.
Every voice matters in the fight against cancer.”
