Sanjeev Sharma: Real Change in How We Care For Families Dealing With Cancer Across India
Sanjeev Sharma, Consultant at St Jude India Child Care Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Honoured to have moderated a deeply meaningful panel discussion on ‘Access to Equitable and Comprehensive Treatment and Care – Call to Action‘ at the Ranchi Cancer Summit yesterday.
It was a privilege to engage with an incredible panel—oncologists, patient and caregiver advocates, NGO leaders, and palliative care experts—each bringing powerful insights from the frontlines of cancer care.
Our conversation included delay in detection, patient struggles, systemic challenges, inequitable access to resources and the financial burden caused by the treatment.
We discussed the way forward -paying attention on how to bridge the gap from the time of symptoms to diagnosis and equitable access to all resources. I truly believe discussions like these lay the foundation for real change in how we care for families dealing with cancer across India.
Grateful to all who participated and supported this effort.”
