Sanjay Juneja: Advocating for Mental Health, Administrative Burden, and Tax Assistance for Healthcare Workers
Sanjay Juneja, Vice President of Clinical AI Operations at Tempus AI, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Humbling few days spent with Noah Wiley and the figs ambassador team on capitol hill advocating for three key things in (1) mental health support and education via the lorna breene act, (2) dire need for attention to non-medically necessary administrative burden–and worsening–that’s required to deliver simply standard of care, and (3) fair and equitable tax assistance to full time health care workers under a certain annual salary.
If I can tell you one thing–congres speople are seemingly receptive, warm and welcoming to hearing HCP stories–in fact, our very last meeting in 2024 led to lorna breene being taken into the house and senate alike! But fell short in the big ‘bundle.’ secondly–Noah is a brilliantly articulate, and more impressively compassionate andvocate for pain points faced by healthcare workers and patients alike in some systems; all, apparently, stemming from first his mother who was a nurse–then being fostered on career pursuits in film and storytelling. All this to say: it just takes breaking the seal once to very likely see and experience the fulfillment and ease of time well spent talking to our legislatures! Especially on bipartisan issues that serve the collective good.”
