Sami (Papacek) Mansfield: The best predictor of lifespan is how much you move

Sami (Papacek) Mansfield shared on LinkedIn:

“I’ve been working on a new project highlighting a new way of snacking for 2025 – exercise snacks and I came across this fantastic research! Check it out!

Want to live longer? Snack on this simple habit.

Here’s the truth: It’s not about fancy diets or biohacking your way to 100.
A groundbreaking study on longevity analyzed over 15 markers in 3,600 people aged 50-80. The verdict? Your movement matters most.

Not your weight.
Not your age.
Not even disease.

The best predictor of lifespan is how much you move.
But here’s the twist: It’s not about intense gym sessions or marathon training 🏃‍♂️. Low-intensity movement—like walking 🚶‍♀️—can make a big difference.

My favorite strategy? Exercise snacks.
(Short bursts of movement that fit into your day—stairs instead of the elevator, a quick stretch 🧘‍♀️ between meetings, or even pacing during calls.)

My go-to 1-minute snacks:
Sit-to-stands
Countertop push-ups
Torso rotations
Boxing punches
What’s yours? Drop your favorite in the comments below!

Movement isn’t optional for a healthy, long life—it’s a daily investment in YOU.
P.S. Repost this for someone who needs the reminder.

This version highlights your personal favorite ‘snacks,’ making it relatable and actionable while keeping a conversational tone.”
