Meet Sachin Gulia, a passionate future oncosurgeon whose journey into medicine began with dreams of flying high, literally.

Originally aspiring to become a pilot, Sachin’s path shifted when he witnessed the harsh realities of unequal access to healthcare. That moment sparked a lifelong mission:

“I saw how many lives were lost simply because they couldn’t afford treatment. That realization changed everything.”

From aviation dreams to oncology, his journey has taken him across borders — both literal and personal. Moving abroad for his studies was challenging, but it helped him grow into a more confident, adaptable, and globally minded individual.

“It taught me resilience, independence, and the value of global perspectives in medicine.”

Outside the hospital, you’ll likely find Sachin solving puzzles, playing chess, or capturing life through the lens of his camera. His curiosity for tech and love for personal development keep his mind just as active as his heart. He’s passionate about exploring emerging trends in technology and constantly seeks ways to develop himself beyond medicine.

“I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow. I’m passionate about tech and personal development, staying curious about the world around me.”

Volunteering at OncoDaily has opened his eyes to the emotional depth of oncology, far beyond textbooks, deepening his compassion and approach to patient care.

Where does he see himself in 10 years? In an operating room, leading cancer care innovations, and staying grounded in the same purpose that brought him here: to make a difference.
