Catherine Alix-Panabières, Professor of Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montpellier, shared a post by Le Point on LinkedIn, adding:
“Honored to highlight our research on Liquid Biopsy at the CHU de Montpellier, with the goal of offering truly personalized treatment to every cancer patient through precision medicine.”
Quoting Le Point‘s post:
“In Montpellier, medical research is undergoing a real revolution!
Major innovations are emerging in the fight against cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, diabetes and hearing loss. Among the significant advances: the detection of diseases such as Alzheimer’s or bipolar disorder via simple blood tests, the manufacture of personalized drugs using 3D printing, and new antibodies capable of replacing chemotherapy.
This progress is the result of close collaboration between scientists, laboratories and start-ups, which accelerate the transfer of innovations to industry to concretely improve patient care. Montpellier is thus establishing itself as a centre of excellence in health and medical innovation.
