The World Ovarian Cancer Coalition have just published their latest study The Socio Economic Burden of Ovarian Cancer in 11 countries in JCO Global Oncology detailing the socio economic burden of this disease !
The study reveals the staggering 70B dollar cost of Ovarian Cancer with 90% attributed to lives lost. Despite recent advancements Ovarian Cancer remains one of the most challenging and lethal of female cancers. The study provides recommendations for actions. More investment and attention will not only save lives but will reduce cost to economies and society.”
