Rahul Banerjee: An area where we need more research!

“Relevant to patients receiving multiple myeloma therapies for sure – definitely an area where we need more research!”

Quoting Nature Medicine’s post:

“The rapid waning of SARS-CoV-2-specific serum antibodies observed after immunization with COVID-19 mRNA vaccines may be accounted for by the absence of long-lived plasma cells in the bone marrow specific for the virus.”

SARS-CoV-2-specific plasma cells are not durably established in the bone marrow long-lived compartment after mRNA vaccination

Rahul Banerjee is an assistant professor at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center at the University of Washington. He completed his residency from the University of Pennsylvania health system. He completed his fellowship in haematology and oncology from University of California, San Francisco. He has authored over 70-peer reviewed publications. His clinical interests include multiple myeloma.
