EORTC Quality of Life Group shares new framework for patient-reported outcome measurement
EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are proud to announce a new EJC publication by our colleague Claire Piccinin et al. outlining the EORTC Quality of Life Group’s flexible and forward-thinking strategy for patient-reported outcome (PRO) measurement in cancer care.
With healthcare and research environments rapidly evolving, this framework aims to ensure that the tools we use to assess quality of life remain scientifically rigorous, clinically meaningful, and responsive to patients’ voices. This is key to ensure the patient voice remains at the heart of oncology research and care – now and into the future.”
The EORTC Quality of Life Group has released a strategic framework for measuring patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in oncology. Published in the European Journal of Cancer, the framework is designed to remain adaptable amid changing healthcare landscapes, while maintaining scientific and clinical integrity. The publication reinforces the organization’s commitment to embedding the patient voice at the center of cancer research and care delivery.
