Olubukola Ayodele: London Global Cancer Week is Back
Olubukola Ayodele, Consultant Medical Oncologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, posted on LinkedIn:
“London Global Cancer Week (LGCW) is back from 24th–28th November 2025!
If you care about the future of cancer care, whether you’re a clinician, researcher, policymaker, patient, advocate, student or simply passionate about health equity, this is your space.
We’re proud to bring together over 60 organisations from around the world, each showcasing powerful initiatives across the cancer continuum from prevention, early detection, access to surgery, radiotherapy and medicines, to strengthening cancer systems amidst conflict, climate change and resource limitations.
Through robust conversations, shared experiences and data-driven insights, LGCW aims to foster coherence in cancer policy both nationally and globally. The week serves not only as a platform for dialogue but also as a catalyst for transformative action, especially for those who are too often left behind.
We’ll close the week with a powerful in-person session on Friday, 28th November, dedicated to tackling inequities in cancer care. We’ll be joined by an inspiring line-up of leaders from healthcare, policy, industry and academia, alongside those with lived experience who will share their stories. Expect bold conversations and practical strategies.
The Vanessa Moss Prize will once again celebrate the work of early-career researchers who are closing the care gap and pushing boundaries to ensure every patient receives the care they need regardless of postcode or passport. Read here.
The top ten abstracts from the week will be published in ecancer journal.
As Chair of this year’s meeting on inequities in cancer care, I am honoured to help shape a programme rooted in equity, justice and global collaboration. Tackling inequities in cancer care is not just part of my work—it’s my life’s passion. Wherever you are in the world and whatever your background, your voice matters in this conversation.
Join us. Learn. Share. Connect. Shape the future with us.
