Norman Ng: Advocating for affordable cancer treatment for middle-class cancer patients
Norman Ng, Director of Patient Advocacy and Public Affairs at Healthcare Thinkers, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Mr. Lo asked, ‘What Can We Do?’
‘The source emphasised that the price will be affordable and the fee will not be applicable to patients with urgent or serious conditions.
Through this reform, the Government hopes to direct resources to those in greater need, including those with severe disease and cancer, with the hope that even the middle class will not be impoverished by illness.’
Please help middle-class patients because today’s innovative anti-cancer drugs are so effective that some cancers have become chronic.
The government and pharmaceutical companies work together to subsidize self-financed drugs for middle-class cancer patients!
Original website: It is reported that some services of the public hospital are planned to be charged on a case-by-case basis, including computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).”
