Niranjala Siriwardena: Rewriting What Survivorship Looks Like in Australia and Beyond
Niranjala Siriwardena, Cancer Survivor and Former Manager at PwC Australia, shared on LinkedIn:
“FEATURED ON ONCODAILY
I’m honoured and grateful to have my article featured by OncoDaily, a respected global platform followed by over 50,000 oncology professionals, researchers and advocates.
The piece reflects on the MASCC Global White Paper on Work After Cancer and why Australia urgently needs a national framework that protects cancer survivors in the workplace.
Survivorship isn’t the end of the story. It’s the beginning of a new one.
But too often, that chapter is marked by exclusion, silence, or being pushed out of work.
My hope is that this article helps shift the narrative, placing lived experience at the centre of policy, protection, and workplace reform.
Thank you to MASCC, COSA and every survivor, researcher, and ally working to make this change visible in Australia and globally.
We are building something bigger than ourselves.
We are rewriting what survivorship looks like in Australia and beyond.
