Mohammed Ibrahim: Thrilled to Have Participated as a Discussant at the Best of ASCO Africa 2025 in Addis Ababa
Mohammed Ibrahim, Assistant Professor of Clinical Oncology and Head of Oncology Unit at Saint Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thrilled to have participated as a discussant at the Best of ASCO Africa 2025 in Addis Ababa—an inspiring gathering of oncology leaders committed to translating science into context-driven care.
In my session, I explored how we might implement evidence from AMPLITUDE, STAMPEDE, and ARANOTE within African health systems, where access, equity, and dignity must guide every decision.
We examined:
The promise and pricing realities of biomarker-driven therapy (AMPLITUDE)
How AI (like MMAI) can enable personalization without genomics (STAMPEDE)
Why preserving cognition and delaying pain must be part of survival (ARANOTE)
Most importantly, we reflected on what it means to deliver precision oncology that serves systems—not just studies.
Grateful to Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation and AORTIC- Africa for convening this space. Honored to share the stage with regional colleagues who bring not just data—but determination.
If you’re interested in African-centered oncology innovation, implementation pathways, or health equity strategy—let’s connect. This conversation is only just beginning.”
