Milan Mishkovikj: A Historic Step Forward in the Fight Against Liver Cancer
Milan Mishkovikj, President of the National Alliance of Patient Organizations (NAPO), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A Historic Step Forward in the Fight Against Liver Cancer!
It was my enormous pleasure to be part of the 1st meeting of the National Commission for Early Detection and Screening of Liver Cancer – a milestone moment for our country!
For the first time ever, we now have an official, complete, nationally recognized screening program for liver cancer, thanks to the dedication and commitment of the Ministry of Health, the University Clinic for Gastroenterohepatology, and the Government. Until now, we had a pilot program launched three years ago who was amazing excellent start, but today, we are making history!
I extend my deepest gratitude to all commission members, healthcare professionals, public health experts, and institutional representatives who are making this vision a reality. Thanks to WHO, ELPA and UNFPA for their continuous support.
