The MELODIC Initiative by ECO for Young Adults with Cancer
European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Young adults (YAs) with cancer are 57% more likely to develop depression compared to peers without cancer.
MELODIC is a new EU-funded initiative working to tackle these unique challenges through
– in-depth interviews and surveys to identify the mental health needs of Yas and their caretakers;
– online training programme for better mental health screening, early detection, and management;
– physical activity in natural spaces and tailored information to support mental wellbeing.
