Megan-Claire Chase: No one goes through cancer unscathed
Megan-Claire Chase, Director of SHARE Cancer Support and Patient Advocate, shared this post on LinkedIn:
“Though this is the last week of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, breast education continues every day. I take being a patient advocate with a creative flair seriously. *volume up* .
My breast cancer experience could not touch my sense of humor and my quirky personality. Losing my hair during chemo was traumatic. I made the best of it by learning how to tie scarves in unique ways thanks to YouTube. I have always loved wearing hats and really turned it up a notch by wearing more vintage hats and fabulous fascinators to go with my big personality.
Though I look completely different externally thanks to chemo permanently changing my once straight hair to curly, the essence of me remains the same. No one goes through cancer unscathed.”
