Megan-Claire Chase: Bringing breast cancer education to the Black community
Megan-Claire Chase, Breast Cancer Program Director, posted the following on LinkedIn:
“Over the weekend, I attended the Sneaker Ball Prom in Atlanta along with another fellow survivor to bring some Breast Cancer Education to our Black community to inform, spark curiosity, and show representation of us in the cancer community.
We shared some of our breast cancer stories, information on invasive lobular and triple-negative cancers, clinical trials, fertility preservation, and the barriers and racism we faced during our care, the power of advocacy and demanding to be heard and believed by our providers.
Plus, some of the proceeds raised will be donated to SHARE Cancer Support.”
