Presented in partnership with the Food is Medicine Institute at Tufts University, the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation at Harvard Law School, The Ohio State University College of Medicine and NutriCare, this groundbreaking event will explore the vital role of nutrition in cancer care.
The symposium aims to bring together researchers, healthcare providers, patient advocates, and community leaders. Agenda topics include:

But the American Cancer Society has not historically played a leadership role in the domains of food insecurity, nutrition, and cancer risk reduction.

And yet, we realize that food insecurity is a common barrier to people being able to make the time to access cancer screening. And, certain food choices are associated with being at an unhealthy weight, which is associated with 13 different cancers.
