“2024 in Review: A Year of Impact and Advocacy.
What an incredible year it’s been for the Medicaid Cancer Foundation! From January to December, we made strides in cancer awareness, prevention, and care, while empowering communities and advocating for health equity.
- January: Kicked off the year with cervical cancer awareness outreaches and the launch of the Women in Healthcare Network.
- February: Marked World Cancer Day with walks, symposiums, and an impactful Art for Cancer event.
- March: Empowered women through International Women’s Day campaigns and unveiled innovative cancer care programs.
- April: Strengthened partnerships with global health leaders to enhance cancer diagnostics and treatment access.
- May: Raised awareness on skin cancer and menstrual hygiene while training oncology nurses.
- June: Celebrated Cancer Survivor Month and advanced HPV vaccination awareness across Africa.
- July: Launched the Cancer-Free Cervix Project and engaged communities in grassroots advocacy.
- August: Focused on women’s health education and addressed cultural stigmas in underserved communities.
- September: Highlighted childhood cancer awareness with walks, outreach programs, and webinars.
- October-November: Celebrated 10 years of WalkAway Cancer, conducted free screenings, and hosted charity events.
- December: Focused on prostate cancer awareness, GBV prevention, and self-defense training for women.
Together, we’ve touched lives, built hope, and strengthened the fight against cancer.
