Maria Pefkianaki: It was an Honor to Participate in a Session At the 2nd Synergies Forum
Maria Pefkianaki, Opthalmologist, Head of Ocular Oncology Center, Specialist in Ocular Oncology Adult and Children “Hygeia” Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was with great pleasure and honor that I participated as a speaker in an extremely interesting session at the cancer patient conference.
Presenting the developments in ophthalmology-oncology, the services and treatments offered by the only specialized center in the Balkan region for eye tumors for adults and children. The ability that our country now has to offer diagnosis and comprehensive treatment to children with Retinoblastoma, so that every child has the best possible care, without having to travel abroad, the importance of personalized care.
Together, stronger.
- Information and the right scientific guidance are crucial to support the patient and his family every step of the way.
- Ophthalmic oncology opens up new avenues in the care of cancer patients.
I would like to warmly thank Hellenic Cancer Federation ELL. O.K for the kind invitation and wonderful hospitality at the conference. It was a true pleasure to share my experience and my passion for ocular oncology, and to present the work we are doing at our Ocular Oncology Center in Greece — a center dedicated to providing specialized care and hope to patients.
The exchange of ideas and the human connection we shared remind us that together we can achieve so much more and truly make a difference for cancer patients.”
