
Kristina Young receives the Prestigious R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health – Earle A. Chiles Research Institute

“Congratulations Dr. Kristina Young for receiving the prestigious R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health!
The award will provide $2.6m for her cancer research over five years.
Dr. Young’s project aims to identify the T-cell populations responsible for tumor control following radiation and to determine where those cells reside over time. This research has broad implications, direct translational relevance and the potential to be rapidly implemented in clinics.
“This significant achievement reflects Dr. Young’s dedication and innovative contributions to the field of immuno-oncology,” said R. Bryan Bell, executive medical director of PCI and director of the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute.
