Kathy Baker: My Faulty Gene joins advocacy organizations for raising awareness for mCRC
Kathy Baker, Founder and Executive Director at My Faulty Gene, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“To our friends in the colorectal cancer and hereditary cancer communities:
Please share this post to help spread the word about the inaugural National Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Awareness Day being recognized on March 13th!
My Faulty Gene is honored to join Say Yes to Hope and numerous other advocacy organizations and industry partners in providing awareness about metastatic CRC.
Why is My Faulty Gene joining this new awareness day effort? Because many colorectal cancers (and metastatic CRC diagnoses) result from often unknown/undiagnosed hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes, including (among others):
- Lynch syndrome (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, EPCAM or PMS2 gene mutations)
- Juvenile Polyposis Syndrome (BMPR1A or SMAD4 gene mutations)
- Familial Adenomatous Syndrome (APC gene mutation)
Please help us spread the world! March 13th is just around the corner!”
