Jennifer Bires: Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy for Adults with Cancer
Jennifer Bires, Executive Director of Life with Cancer and Patient Experience for the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, shared on LinkedIn:
“The impact of psychedelic-assisted therapy continues to leave me in awe. We’re witnessing meaningful shifts in how patients, especially those navigating cancer, are finding healing and renewed hope.
For those who live in the DC area, we are incredibly lucky to have Sunstone Therapies right here in our backyard. Their research into psychedelic-assisted therapy is not only groundbreaking, it’s deeply intentional and compassionate.
Sunstone is currently running a study on the use of psychedelic-assisted therapy for adults with cancer who are experiencing Major Depressive Disorder.
If you’re a healthcare provider supporting a patient who might benefit, or you’re a patient yourself and want to explore more, please reach out to Sunstone. I have put the link in the comments below.
If you’d like help getting connected, drop a comment or DM and I’ll point you in the right direction.”
