Bilal Awad Highlights Resilience of Palestinian Nurses on International Nurses Day
Bilal Awad, Communication Working Group Member at European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“International Nurses Day 2025. Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies. On this special day, we pause with deep appreciation and gratitude for every nurse who has turned their profession into a life mission – whose effort carries value, and whose care brings hope.
In Palestine, nursing is not just a profession – it is a story of resilience and growth. Palestinian nurses have overcome challenges and risen both scientifically and humanely. Many have pursued higher education, contributed to research, and proudly represented Palestine in international conferences and forums.
Today, we proudly affirm that nursing has become an independent and respected science, with diverse specializations and academic strength. In every hospital, healthcare facility, and even in every home, there is a compassionate and knowledgeable touch made by a nurse.
This profession is more than a job – it is a saving spirit, a supporting shoulder, and a listening heart. Thank you to those who make a difference in the most difficult moments. Wishing all nurses a wonderful International Nurses Day. May Palestinian nursing continue to rise and flourish. From the heart… thank you to everyone who wears white and gives hope.”
Bilal Awad marked International Nurses Day by expressing gratitude to nurses globally and highlighting the progress and dedication of Palestinian nurses. He emphasized their academic and humanitarian achievements and affirmed the evolving strength of nursing as a science.
