IARC paper estimates global burden of cutaneous melanoma caused by excess UV – IARC
IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization shared a post on LinkedIn:
“IARC paper estimates global burden of cutaneous melanoma (CM) caused by excess UV, inclunding, for the first time globally, a method to adjust for acral lentiginous melanoma, a subtype rare among light-skinned people but accounts for ~50% of CM in darker-skinned people.
