“Generations knew Shannen Doherty as a television and film icon. She was also a fighter and inspiration to many who are waging their own battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her talent is gone far too soon and my thoughts are with her family.“

“FOX mourns the loss of our friend Shannen Doherty. We’re grateful for the talent and light she brought to FOX, especially through her role in Beverly Hills, 90210, which cemented her place among television royalty. Shannen’s legacy will be remembered and celebrated forever.” – FOX/X

“Shannen Doherty had the heart of a lion. My head bows to this warrior on her journey home. Her intense will to live places in her in the hall of legends. Forever our sister.” – Rose McGowan/X

“RIP to Shannen Doherty, the most iconic Heather (and Brenda and Prue) that ever there was. To quote Winona Ryder, “Why are you such a mega-bitch?” And to quote Doherty – with the ultimate mean-girl mic drop of all time: “Because I can be.” – Mandy Stadtmiller/X

“When Luke Perry died, Shannen Doherty came on his show to recite the Lord’s Prayer. She wasn’t a character there before this. It would be the last scene she did for a TV show Rare for TV characters to respond to a death with prayer, compared with how often people do in real life.” – Ryan Menezes/X

“RIP Shannen Doherty. I met her during the Full House days. She was lovely and had a beautiful smile. Today, I’ll also think about the women in my life who all succumbed to cancer – my mom, my sister, Sharon and my niece, Shannon, who all were so strong and so beautiful.” – Dave Coulier/X

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Stand Up To Cancer ambassador Shannen Doherty to breast cancer. She is an incredible inspiration to all facing this disease. Shannen was a proud supporter of SU2C and our mission. She participated in numerous SU2C Telecast events, PSAs, and was a fierce supporter for cancer research. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.” – Stand Up To Cancer/X

My heart is broken. It was a pleasure to meet Shannen Doherty while filming our movie Fortess a little over 2 years ago! She was full of warm energy and positive vibes. So young. So talented. May she rest well.” – Eric West/X

“Heartbreaking to know Shannen Doherty has passed away. She was such a sweet girl, a bright light and amazing talent. She was genuine, funny and smart. I’ll never forget the years of hanging out with her in the early to mid 80’s at The Youth In Film Awards. I found this picture from one of those events and thought I would share. I remember we had so much fun that night. Those were memorable times as child actors.

Although we lost touch as we grew into young adults I never forgot about how special and amazing she was. My heart and prayers go out to her amazing mother Rosa Elizabeth and wonderful brother Sean. Sending support and prayers to all her family, friends and fans. Rest In Peace and Love Shannen, I will always remember how great and special you were.” – Kristy Swanson/X

Sad news out of the US. Shannen Doherty has lost her battle with breast cancer – at the age of 53. Forever remembered as a young beach babe in the arms of Dylan (Luke Perry) on Beverly Hills 90210. May her soul rest peacefully.” – Brian Peel/X

“I grew up watching Shannen Doherty, and years later I got the amazing chance to work with her in Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Loved her in Charmed, a favorite of mine. Truly sad that she is now gone, may you rest in peace.” – Jay Mewes/X
