“Of note, MD Anderson Cancer Center will have 2 Radiation Oncologists in the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Leadership Development Program between myself and Dr. Steven Chun.
I do not believe this has ever happened(?).
We’re going to usher in a new era of multidisciplinary leadership! Dr. Miriam Knoll will help!”
Quoting the previous post:
“Excited to be selected for the ASCO2024 Leadership Development Program. Overjoyed to join a group of motived oncologists for essential leadership skills training.
The 2025 application is open soon. Completed training 2015-2020? You are eligible!”

Fumiko Ladd Chino is an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, who specializes in gynecological and breast cancers. She was also a caregiver for her husband Andrew Mark Ladd, PhD who died from cancer in 2007. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including ASCO Excellence in Equity Award (2022), Duke Radiation Oncology Award for Outstanding Clinical Research (2019), Duke University Hospital “Good Catch” Award (2018), Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Merit Award (2018), Duke University School of Medicine Dean’s Recognition Award (2014) and Memorial Hermann Hospital, Texas Medical Center Volunteer of the Year Award (2009).
