Françoise Meunier: MEP Kateřina Konečná reiterated her support for cancer survivor’s rights need to be guaranteed through legislative measures at the European level

Françoise Meunier, Founder of the European Initiative on Ending Discrimination Against Cancer Survivors, shared a post on LinkedIn:

‘”We must not be ruled by voluntary codes of conduct. Only regulations will ensure the rights [cancer survivors] are entitled to.’

During the High-Level Conference, MEP Kateřina Konečná reiterated her support for the argument that I have been supporting: that cancer survivors’ rights need to be guaranteed through legislative measures at the European level.

This is the only way to ensure implementation and harmonisation so that, no matter where they live, European cancer survivors can access financial services without discrimination.”
