New whitepaper on navigation services and reimbursement success – Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute
Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A new whitepaper, written in partnership with NCODA, and co-authored by FCS Vice President of Clinical Services Danielle Brown, MBA, BSN, RN, OCN, CN-BN lifts the veil on reimbursement success through the incorporation of navigation services.
Over the past year, FCS implemented processes to enable the utilization of CMS Principal Illness Navigation (PIN) codes within the practice. This led to significant health care cost savings and avoided unnecessary utilization of health care services.
The navigation program gained the attention of the Cancer Moonshot initiative for its out-of-the-gate success in shifting quality measures.
This whitepaper outlines the challenges and solutions for programs looking to establish or refine their own navigation processes.
Read it here.”
