“It was a great pleasure to attend the 7th Emirates Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Conference (EPHOC), held on 26–27 April 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Dr Scott Howard, International Development Officer at SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital, shared valuable insights on the management of asparaginase toxicities.
Dr Jaume Català-Mora, Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist at SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital, provided an update on Retinoblastoma: 2025 and Beyond, stating that new treatments are achieving curation and ocular globe preservation in nearly 90% of the intraocular cases.
Dr Lucas Krauel, Head of the Oncological Surgery Unit at SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital, presented advanced strategies in surgical planning for complex oncology cases, offering a forward-looking perspective on paediatric surgical oncology.
This Congress, organised by MENA Conference, served as an excellent platform for knowledge exchange—enabling healthcare professionals to access the latest updates, deepen their expertise, and strengthen their ability to deliver the highest standard of care to children affected by cancer and blood disorders.”
