“Steatotic Liver Disease (SLD) is now one of the leading causes of liver disease worldwide — yet it remains under-recognized, under-prioritized, and under-treated.
There is an urgent need for national action plans that focus on prevention, early screening, and access to pharmacological treatment.
This is not just a health issue — it’s a wake-up call.
