“Recently, I was honored to contribute to AstraZeneca’s inaugural in-person Global Health Equity Advisory Board meeting with 14 advisors spanning a broad spectrum of expertise across academia, healthcare professionals, NGOs, former government officials and more. These stakeholders came from and represented several geographies, including the U.S., China, Japan, Brazil, Canada, Egypt and Kenya (among others) to participate in actionable discussions on how we can best continue to address disparities across targeted therapeutic areas around the world.
I look forward to continuing to work with these global stakeholders in developing actionable strategies that accelerate key programs, including clinical trial and genomic diversity, lung health in the U.S., rare diseases in emerging markets and Healthy Heart Africa.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in this collaborative effort. I remain optimistic that by bringing together stakeholders from across the healthcare system, we can continue to make positive strides in improving global health outcomes.”
