Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action 2024 – Medicaid Cancer Foundation
Medicaid Cancer Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action 2024.
Today, we join hands with the global community to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to eliminating cervical cancer—a preventable disease that tragically claims the lives of many women across our nation.
As a leading voice in cancer advocacy and awareness, the Medicaid Cancer Foundation stands proudly with the National Task Force Committee for Cervical Cancer Elimination in advancing the World Health Organization’s (WHO) 90:70:90 targets by 2030.
Through initiatives like Cancer Free Cervix, we’ve worked tirelessly to:
- Provide free screenings and early detection services.
- Educate communities about HPV vaccination and prevention.
- Partner with frontline health workers to bring care to the grassroots.
A Call to Action
This fight is not one we can win alone. We deeply appreciate the efforts of our esteemed leaders, healthcare professionals, and partners who have been instrumental in our progress. Now, we urge every stakeholder—government, NGOs, healthcare providers, and you—to join us in creating a cervical cancer-free Nigeria.
Let’s save lives and make a lasting impact on the health of women and families across our nation. Together, we can eliminate cervical cancer!”
